Discovered naked and bloodied among mutilated bodies, Frank "Mad Dog" Evans is the lone survivor of an attack by elite communist soldiers on an intelligence-gathering site in Laos, derisively known as "The Turd."  Mad Dog’s ramblings about being possessed by a phi – a sprit that protected him with preternatural powers – are discounted as battle fatigue.

     Ten years later, during his honeymoon, a chain of events results in an attempt on his life that drastically alters his future. Seeking vengeance, Evans becomes involved in a beautiful woman’s scheme to overthrow the leadership of a Southeast Asian triad -- the very persons responsible for his failed assassination and the death of his bride.
